EXPERIENCE

  • March 2025 - Present

I oversee a variety of tasks related to research, development, and communications. I manage and organize data related to copyrights, artist information, and metadata, ensuring all records are kept up-to-date and easily accessible. I coordinate and facilitate regular web archiving activities, curating collections for public display and publication. Additionally, I contribute to the development and execution of communications strategies, including creating and distributing regular newsletters, managing social media content, and supporting community engagement efforts through events and workshops.

WARC School is Archiving the Black Web’s training program that aims to create a new generation of web archiving practitioners dedicated to documenting the Black experience online. The curriculum supports an inclusive web archiving practice that equally values the development of technical skills and the cultivation of web archiving practices informed by cultural practices and ways of knowing.

Course Taught: A Black History of the Web

Course Description: A Black History of the Web asks what are Black people’s contributions to the culture, infrastructure, development, and experience of the Internet from its inception till now. From discussions and lectures about computing pioneers to digital activism to social media, participants will gain an understanding of Black digital life and precarity and the scholarship and art that illuminates and contends with Black folks' engagement with the Internet.
